Jane Bryson Thomas has been an animal lover practically since she was born. When she was in kindergarten, her teacher told her parents "Jane loves animals more than anyone that I have ever seen." Jane has always massaged her companion animals: dogs, cats and kittens, parrots, turtles, rabbits, guinea pigs, and a brown and white paint Shetland pony named Little Joe.
In 1997 Jane began massaging a beloved black thoroughbred mare, named Island Girl. She massaged her for seven years, almost daily. She doesn't know who enjoyed and benefitted from it the most, she, or Island Girl.
Jane dreamed of becoming a professional horse masseuse, but never knew that it was possible until she started volunteering at the Houston Police Department's Mounted Patrol Division. She became a Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist by Equissage, Inc. She has since performed many equine sports massages with wonderful results.
